Turmeric Root

Turmeric root is considered to be a very special spice. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that it gives a special and quite spicy taste to the food but also to its own color (ocher shades). The most important components of turmeric are curcuminoids. One of them is curcumin, a natural polyphenol with special properties. Among a wide range of biological properties of curcumin, we distinguish the anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-viral activities, which find great use in clinical medicine.
