Mountain Tea

The mountain tea plant, of the genus Sideritis, is a very popular plant in the Mediterranean. More than 100 species have been recorded, 17 of which thrive only in Greece. All species are resistant to drought and heat and grow between the rocks. Mountain tea is a rich source of flavonoids, catechins and essential oils. It is preferred mainly for the treatment of the common cold, for indigestion problems and gastrointestinal disorders.
