Sunflower Seed

Sunflower seed: is the fruit of the sunflower tree. The tree took its name after the fact that the head of the plant follows the sun throughout the day, while in the morning it turns again to the east. The sunflower seed is widely known for its antioxidant properties, as it contains high levels of vitamin E, a predominantly free radical scavenger. They are consumed as a snack, in salads or in cereal bars.
