Giaourtlou kebab

INGREDIENTS

For the kebabs:

  • 500 – 600 g. ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon grated breadcrumbs Charma
  • 1 tablespoon of butter (we will put olive oil)
  • 2-3 red peppers
  • Vinegar Charma
  • 1 tsp. Garlic powder Charma
  • Cumin Charma
  • Coriander Charma
  • Cinnamon Charma
  • Allspice Charma
  • Pepper Charma
  • Red sweet pepper Charma
  • Black pepper Harman (or chili Charma)
  •  Salt Himalayan Charma
  •  2- 3 tablespoons water

For the tomato sauce:

  • 2 ripe tomatoes or 1 can of tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp. Onion flakes Charma
  • Oil
  • Salt Himalayan Charma
  • Pepper Charma
  • Oregano Charma
  • Cinnamon Charma

Για τη σάλτσα γιαουρτιού:

  • yoghurt (a yoghurt 200 g per person)
  • A little mint Charma
  • 4-6 souvlaki pitas

PREPARATION

  1. In a bowl put the minced meat, egg, breadcrumbs, vinegar, oil, spices, garlic. The quantity of spices depends on how intense flavor you want. If you want Garlic to have a lighter odor, you should get his heart, the germ, of.
  2. In a blender put the red peppers with refreshing water and when they are mashed add them to the meat mixture.
  3. Refrigerate for 45-50 minutes, in order to mold the mixture. Meanwhile, we prepare the tomato sauce. Place in a saucepan the onion and sauté firstly with just some water in order to create a lighter sauce. When the refreshing water is over, fry lightly with olive oil, add the canned tomatoes or the fresh tomatoes after you use the grater.  Add salt, pepper, oregano, cinnamon, a little water and let it boil for 20- 30 minutes.
  4. For the yogurt sauce just mix the yogurt with the mint.
  5. Cook the kebabs on the grill, add some oil to the souvlaki pitas, and put them also on the grill. When they are ready cut them into small pieces and mix them with yogurt and mint.
  6. When we want to serve, we firstly put on the plate the mixture of yogurt which is mixed with souvlaki pitas, and at the top serve the kebabs with the tomato sauce.
